Summer and Winter Horse Camps

Here at Hunters Run we do offer summer camps during the month of June. At the summer camp the children will learn the following:

• The basic care of owning a horse.
• How to give shots and worm the horse.
• How to take care of the tack.
• Play games on horse back.
• The last hour is dedicated to lunch and swim (unless it's a winter camp then we eat lunch and do crafts).
  
• Most importantly, they will have fun while learning in a safe enviornment.

The winter horse camps are tentitive based on how many students sign up, but they are generally offered during the two weeks off at Christmas break. Here we do the same thing as the summer camps except for the swimming.

We are shooting for another successful Christmas Camp this year. The dates will be announced soon.

Hunters Run was very excited to have Trainer, Clint Kolz come out this past weekend. Clint taught us brand new techniques for loading difficult horses. He worked with three of our problem loaders and was very successful. We hope to have him come out again soon to give an all day horsemanship clinic. Clint's techniques are helpful and help create a deeper bond between horse and rider.
